What's New

August 28, 2008 New Issue of LinC: Mind-Blowingly Inappropriate
The CW Television Network has created quite a stir by incorporating profanity and sexually suggestive imagery into the advertising campaign for its shows. While many people find these ads offensive, subversive marketing campaigns are nothing new. This week we'll look at how Christians can respond faithfully to the advertisements we encounter. Click here to download.
Next week: Twitter, a popular "micro-blogging" service, allows users to post regular updates about what they're doing and thinking (known as "tweets"), as long as their posts are 140 characters or fewer. Many find the service to be an easy way to stay connected to friends. Next week LinC looks at how we can stay connected to God and other members of the body of Christ in ways that are more meaningful than a 140-character "tweet."

New Resource: Good God Theater, Act 1: Old Testament
In Good God Theater, Act 1, acclaimed actor Ted Swartz and Ted & Company TheaterWorks, tell familiar (and not-so-familiar) Old Testament stories, such as creation, the golden calf, and Jeremiah's linen shorts, through the eyes of the people whom the Scriptures are about. In addition to highlighting individual Scriptures, these vignettes work together to tell the bigger story of God's love for all creation. Click here to learn more.
